   - What system requirements are needed to watch You Tube videos?

In order to watch videos on our site, make sure you have access
to the following system requirements:
___- Macromedia Flash Player 7.0 or higher+plug-in
___- Windows 2000 or higher with latest updates installed
___- Mac OSX 10.3 or higher
___- Browser minimum with all updates - FireFox 1.1, Internet Explorer 5.0, or Safari 1.0
___- Broadband connection with 500+Kbps

   - Why does the video keep stopping and starting while I'm watching it?

We have found simply turning off the modem connected to your IP provider for about 5 Seconds and then back on solve the problem. It has been shown that the video feed (like getting stuck in the browsers cache as describe below) also can get stuck in the older “A”, "B" and "G" modems cache supplied by the IP provider.

If the above does not solve the problem, it may be due to your connection speed. A connection speed of at least 500+Kbps is recommended for the best viewing experience. However, we have tested the feeds as low as 300Kbs and found (dependant on the IP providers ability to maintain the 300Kbs constant) to be acceptable.

Another possible reason for choppy video playback is the video provider servers are experiencing high traffic. If this is the case, there's not much you can do. However, they are continuously adding servers to keep up with demand and improve your experience on our site.

It's also possible that your video download speed is slow or inconsistent. In this case, you can try pausing the video until the entire stream is downloaded and then playing the video. Occasionally, an incomplete copy of a video can get stuck in your cache and never fully download. You can re-attempt the download by clearing your browser's cache. Please see the browsers help section for directions on how to clearing your particular browser cache.

   - Can I change the starting sequence of any music/video?

Yes. All that is required is to select any of the thumbnails* on the right of the screen. Clicking on the one you would like to play first will start that selection and then continue on with the next sequence of thumbnail videos.

   - Video/Music stops playing with “We’re sorry, this video is no longer available. in the player window.

This is a known issue and no matter which video you chose after the message appears, the videos are no longer available.  Supposedly, You Tube is working on the issues and has suggested the following for now - “For the time being, you may want to make one or several shorter playlists instead of one longer one.”

We anticipated this type of issue in our original design of the site and have a simple workaround for this issue – just returns to Unicorn FM’s Home Page and reselect your favorite music selection button.   After selecting your favorite, click on the first of the videos thumbnail that could not be found.  All will go fine for the next 25 or so videos.  Repeat as needed.

Hopefully, Google and You Tube will have an answer before long.  If not, we will revise the website along You Tube’s recommendation.

* A thumbnail is the small rectangle picture buttons to the right of the player screen.
